Merit Badge Counselor List Information

As of Sept. 1, 2022, the Merit Badge Counselor lists will no longer be kept on the Minsi Trails Council website. 

Scout leaders and Scouts trying to find Merit Badge Counselors will have to use Scoutbook, the National Council approved platform. 

Why?

This is to insure that Scouts are using MB Counselors with current Youth Protection Training. The Boy Scouts of America has implemented a policy to automatically remove a MB Counselor's name from Scoutbook when that counselor's Youth Protection Training expires.

• If you are a MB Counselor whose name is removed from the list, getting back on is a matter of re-taking the Youth Protection Training.
• If you're a MB Counselor and you get notification that your Youth Protection Training is about to expire, don't ignore it. Renew your training before it expires.
• The decision to remove the Council and District lists from the website was made by the Council Advancement Committee to further protect the safety of our Scouts.
• If your unit is not using Scoutbook at the present time, and have problems with the change please contact Drew Draper, Council Scoutbook Chair or your District Scoutbook Chair - list found here.
