LEAVE NO TRACE SKILLS COURSE
This is the Course for Youth
COURSE:
Those who complete the course are prepared to:
- Understand, demonstrate, and teach the techniques of the Leave No Trace Seven Principles to friends, family, scouting groups, and other community groups.
- Assist others earn their BSA Outdoor Ethics Awareness Award & Action Awards.
- Lead discussions on outdoor ethics and help others explore their own personal outdoor ethic.
Completion of this course can qualify for requirement #5 for your BSA Outdoor Ethics Awareness Award.
Completion of this course can qualify for requirement #6 for the National Medal of Outdoor Achievement
DATES: Friday 6:00 PM through Saturday evening, October 25-26, 2024
This course for youth will occur concurrent with the Leave No Trace Level 1 Course for Adults.
WHERE: Weytrex, Camp Minsi
WHO: This course is recommended for the following -
Youth 14 to 18 Scouts, Venturers, and Sea Scouts and NYLT participants, Outdoor Ethics Guides, Order of the Arrow members, camp counselors in training, and Camp Staff.
If you are an Outdoor Ethics Guide this course will help you improve your Leave No Trace skills.
FORMAT: All participants must attend all in-person sessions at camp and complete assignments to graduate. No refunds after start of course.
COST: $50.00 per person includes food, training materials, and recognitions

Equipment: Uniform, camp chair, presentation materials, tent, camping equipment, personal gear, mess kit, Scout Medical Parts A and B.
