This free weekend of camping is an opportunity to visit Trexler Scout Reservation even earlier!
Troops converge at camp for a weekend of fun, camp projects, and fellowship. Camp setup is a MASSIVE undertaking, and we'd love your help.
In preparation for the upcoming season, sites will be cleaned, prepped, and tents canvassed. Program and facilities will be brought out and set up for the summer season. In the afternoon we’ll open the program areas around Camp for Scouts to enjoy.
Friday night, beginning at 6:00pm, will be check in at the Dining Hall. (though your troop may check in after 6 as well) Cots and tents will be in your site's shed, available for setup.
At 9pm there will be a Leader's Meeting for any leaders/SPLs. At that time, jobs will be discussed and assigned per troop for Saturday morning. Most tasks will be completed by lunch on Saturday, which will be provided for you. Program areas will open at approximately 2pm for the enjoyment of all Beaver Day participants.
We are in need of as many units with leaders as possible including, but not limited to, electricians, carpenters, plumbers, painters, chimney sweeps, and anybody else who loves to help or finds themselves handy.
Site selection for Beaver Day is on a first come, first served basis.
