THIS WEEKEND FILLS FAST!
Akelaland Beaver Weekend is a Family Scouting Work Weekend. It is a unique opportunity for service, fellowship, recreation, and of course camping! Take the opportunity to bring your Cub Scouts, Siblings and parents to Akelaland for a weekend camping trip to check out the camp and its facilities, meet the staff and give back to this beautiful camp through friendly service. This event is completely free!
Sing up as a Pack, Den or as a Family!
We will provide your unit with a site, tents, and cots. Actually, you will help set them up for us. You can even request to stay in the site you will be staying in during your week of summer camp. Lunch on Saturday will be provided for all who are participating in the work weekend. All that we ask in return is that your unit gives a few hours of service to the camp on Saturday. Additionally, Scouts and leaders will have the opportunity to explore the camp and meet the staff.
This will be a time for repairing and fixing up the camp in preparation for the summer camp season. A list of jobs will be out as we near the weekend and we will meet on Saturday to help with assignments.
Just remember: the unit will need to bring food for breakfast and dinner on Saturday. Also breakfast Sunday morning.
