Unit Den Chiefs
This overview pertains to Cub Scout Packs bringing Den Chiefs to Akelaland.
A Den Chief is:
- A current registered member of a Scouts, BSA Troop, Venturing Crew or Sea Scout unit.
- Approval from their unit leader.
- Trained in the Position as a Den Chief.
- Understands the Cub Scouting program and the differences between Cub Scouts and other Scouting programs.
- Understands the den leader’s duties.
- NOT considered an Akelaland Staff Member.
- Under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or Cub Scout Pack Leader.
Registering a Den Chief to attend with the Cub Scout Pack @ Akelaland:
- Simply, within the unit online registration, enter the Den Chief as paying the adult related fees. Recognize the Den Chief youth is not a participating Cub/Webelo program camper.
- Complete an Annual BSA Health and Medical Form.
- Complete Youth Protection Training online.
The following link allows you to launch the online version of the Den Chief training. Please note that their is no tracking and if you exit from the training prior to the completion of it and without printing your certificate you will have to restart the training from the beginning.
