Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS)
This is the second of the courses required to be taken to be considered "trained" for the positions of Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster.
There will be virtual learning (approx. 2 hours per week) leading up to the in-person practical session. Virtual learning will be comprised of large group (live), small group (live) and individual learning (pre-recorded) sessions. Dates, times and topics for virtual sessions will be published once confirmed. The in-person sessions will include overnight tent camping.

May 12th 7-9 pm
May 19th 7-9 pm
Where: on line platform TBD, sign in information will be emailed to each participant prior to the beginning of the course
Why: Complete course and position requirements, learn something and have some fun
In-person sessions:
Who: Registered students and staff
What: IOLS in person practical
When: May 22nd 10am (approx.) to May 23rd 10am (approx.)
Where: Location: Akelaland Cub Scout Camp at Trexler Scout Reservation
Why: Complete course requirements, learn something and have some fun
The cost of the course is $20 per person which includes one night of camping as part of the in person, outdoor portion of this course.
No youth will be allowed at the course.
Participants will need to complete COVID screening questionnaire (will be provided) and bring a copy of their medical form parts A/B.
